BIODATA Name : Dyson N.M Moses Nationality : Malawian Sex : Male Date of Birth : 7th January 1987 Marital Status : Married Home address : Champiti Village, P.O Box 9, Kampepuza, Ntcheu ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION Holds a PhD in Rock Engineering specializing in mine design and stability analysis from Kyushu university, Japan, obtained in 2022, and a Masters of Science in Applied Geology (Geological Engineering) from Dokuz Eylul University, Turkey obtained in 2017 . The first degree is in Bachelor of Science majoring in Earth Sciences obtained from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College in 2010, and the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) is from Madzanje Secondary School, Malawi successfully completed in 2005. WORK EXPERIENCE Has a work experience spanning from 2010 just after graduation. The first job was in the capacity as a geologist at Geological Survey Department up to 2012. In the same year Dyson joined Globe Metals and Mining on exploration project at the Kanyika Rare Earth Metals prospect in Kasungu as an exploration geologist. At the end of the exploration, an opportunity to work with another reputable mining company came on its way and worked as a mine geologist at Paladin Africa Limited, a company which mined Uranium at Kayerekera Uranium Mining Project in Karonga, Malawi. Towards the end of the year 2012, joined University of Malawi as an instructor in the Faculty of Science, Department of Geography and Earth Sciences and has risen in the ranks to the current position of a lecturer in Geology. In 2018 carried out a part time consulting work for Mkango Resources Ltd in mineral exploration at the Songwe Rare Earth Elements Prospect. ACHIEVEMENTS AND TRAINING Held headship position in the Geography and Earth Sciences department between 2017-2018 and played a supporting leading role in geology curriculum review under the auspices of Mining Governance Growth Support Project (MGGSP). To strengthen expertise in mineral exploration, attended training on “Geological Information Management for Mineral Exploration in Africa” administered by professors from Kyoto and Tohoku universities in Japan (January – February 2018).
